AlphaTauri has revealed their new AT01 at an event in Salzburg, showing off a completely new livery for the re-branded team.
The team – formerly known as Toro Rosso – has changed their name to AlphaTauri for 2020, naming themselves after Red Bull’s in-house fashion brand.
Along with the name change, the team has also revealed a striking new livery for their AT01 at the car launch event at Hangar-7 in Salzburg , with the usual Red Bull design having been removed, and replaced with a white and blue colour scheme.
In addition to the new car design, the team also unveiled new teamwear in the form of a fashion show.
Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly will race for the team again in 2020, after Pierre Gasly moved back to his old team mid-way through the 2019 season after a difficult start to the year at Red Bull.
The team had a strong season last year, with both drivers getting on the podium courtesy of Kvyat’s third place at the German Grand Prix, and Pierre Gasly’s second place at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Those results helped Toro Rosso finish sixth in the constructors’ championship, their best result since the 2008 season.
The new AT01 will complete its first shakedown test on Saturday at Misano before the team heads to Barcelona for pre-season testing next week.
