Williams reveals images of its FW43 ahead of testing

Williams has revealed images of its new FW43 Formula 1 car ahead of pre-season testing that is due to get underway later this week.

The Grove-based team released images of the FW43 online, and the car features a heavily revised livery from last season.

As part of the new colour scheme, the sidepods are now red with the ROKiT logo featuring prominently, with the mobile phone manufacturer staying on as a title sponsor for another year.

The main body of the car is white, while team has included a blue border along the nose and around the halo.

Williams had a difficult season in 2019 and found themselves way behind the pace of the rest of the teams after turning up to pre-season testing a day and a half later than anyone else.

As a result, they finished the season at the bottom of the constructors’ championship with only a single point to their name, and will be hoping that they can be more competitive this year, before the regulations change for 2021.

George Russell remains with Williams for a second season after an impressive rookie year in difficult circumstances, and Canadian driver, Nicholas Latifi is promoted to the second seat, having been the team’s reserve driver in 2019.
