Alfa Romeo has uncovered its 2020 Formula 1 livery on its new C39, ahead of the opening pre-season test at Barcelona on Wednesday.
The team undertook a shakedown test in their C39 last week, but the car featured a snakeskin black livery, however on the opening day of pre-season testing, the Italian-Swiss team unveiled their livery for the season, reverting back to the usual red and white colour scheme.
The 2020 livery is relatively similar to last year’s car, however new sponsor, ORLEN features heavily on the car with their logo visible on the side pods, front wing and rear wing.
The tam has retained 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi for the 2020 season, but Robert Kubica will be the first driver to test the new C39 as part of his contract with the team as a reserve driver for the year.
The former Williams driver will take part in the morning session on Monday, his first running since leaving the Grove-based squad last year, and Giovinazzi will take over for the afternoon.
Alfa Romeo has also announced that Tatiana Calderon will remain with the team as a reserve driver for 2020 and will combine the duties with a season in Super Formula.
