Carlube Triple R Racing with Cataclean & Mac Tools will be the new team name for Ciceley Motorsport in the 2020 British Touring Car Championship.
Last season the team ran under two different banners – Cataclean Racing & Mac Tools Racing – with the team supplying two Mercedes-Benz A Class’ for Adam Morgan and Dan Rowbottom, but the team will field two cars under one banner for the first time in 2020.
The team will still field Morgan and Rowbottom in the A Class and Carlube has come in board with its Triple R brand to become the title sponsor with Cataclean and Mac Tools also remaining in the team name.
Speaking about the announcement, Team Principal Russell Morgan said: “We are ecstatic about our 2020 plans.”
“It is really exciting and positive to welcome Tetrosyl on board to promote its Carlube Triple R brand.
“Having two cars in the same colours is a first for our team, offering not only double exposure for our sponsors but also increasing our chances of scoring points in the teams’ championships.
“By retaining Adam and Dan, we have drivers who know the cars as well as how we operate and, along with the work we have done over the winter, I am sure that we will be more competitive than ever.”
Adam Morgan finished 12th in the driver’s standings last season, while Rowbottom ended the season 27th, having made his debut at the start of the year, and the 30-year-old admitted that 2019 was a big learning curve as he got to grips with the series.
“I am really keen to get back in the car and get started,”commented Rowbottom.
“Last year was a huge learning curve, which taught me a lot, so with the experience and hard work over the winter to improve the cars, I am confident of a stronger season.
“It’s also very positive to bring Cataclean back as a title sponsor as they join forces with some of the biggest names in the automotive industry.”
