Valtteri Bottas topped the timesheet on the final day of Formula 1 pre-season testing, setting a time of 1m16.196s to go fastest in the afternoon.
Bottas took over driving duties from team-mate Lewis Hamilton for the afternoon, completing 77 laps, and ended the session 0.077s ahead of the Red Bull of Max Verstappen.
Verstappen, who also took part for the afternoon only, was second fastest, knocking the Renault of Daniel Ricciardo down to third, after the Australian went fastest in the morning.
Charles Leclerc had a busy day in his Ferrari, completing 177 laps, more than any other driver, and had best time of 1m16.360s which was good enough for fourth, while Lewis Hamilton’s best effort from the morning left him fifth in the classification at the end of the day.
Esteban Ocon took over testing duties for Renault in the afternoon and managed to complete 71 laps, going sixth fastest in the process, while Sergio Perez’s best effort of 1m16.634s was good enough for seventh.
Carlos Sainz was a further two tenths behind Perez in eighth, having racked up 159 laps over the course of the final day, and the Williams of George Russell was just behind in ninth.
The AlphaTauri of Daniil Kvyat rounded out the top ten with the Russian setting a best time of 1m16.914s, and he had a productive day in his AT01, clocking up 157 laps.
Romain Grosjean was 11th fastest in Haas, over three tenths ahead of the Alfa Romeo of Kimi Raikkonen in 12th.
Kevin Magnussen was confined to the garage for the majority of the afternoon due to a clutch issue on his Haas, but his team managed to get him out for the last 25 minutes and he ended up with a best time of 1m17.495s leaving him 13th in the classification.
The Red Bull of Alex Albon propped up the classification, ending the day the slowest of all with a time of 1m17.803s.
