ByKolles fought back after eight hours since their drive-through-penalty whilst AF Corse get amongst the front GTE leaders.
The seventh hour of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual had presented a brief Safety Car Period on lap 88, as the #21 LMP faced contact with the entry wall at the Porsche Curves.
ByKolles reached P1 over #20 Team Redline after recovering a drop down in the LMP order after receiving a drive-through-penalty at beginning of the race for jumping the start. Jesper Pedersen set out a series of quick laps to achieve this.
On lap 93, a close battle for the overall lead took place between Stoffel Vandoorne in the #16 Veloce Esports 2, Greger Huttu in the #20 Team Redline, and the #4 ByKolles Burst Esports.
They force fiercely but Vandoorne stood on top for now, whilst Pederson facing a sim-rig issue to fall from P2 down to P11.
A collision between the #64 Corvette of Jan Magnussen and Team Rocket Zansho took place in the approach to end of the Mulsanne straights.
Charles Leclerc of the #52 AF Corse clipped the curb and spun on the approach to Tetre Rouge whilst the #7 Toyota GAZOO Racing LMP crash and spun at the Porsche Curves in the hands of sim-racing rookie Mike Conway.
Porsche dominated the top three spots in GTE but the #91 battled briefly with Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc.
The #56 Team Project 1 crashed prior to the Dunlop chicane.
At the 1/3 distance, it was clear that drivers would soon face the effects of tiredness in this 24 hour virtual endurance race.
