The field has calmed down as the race passed the halfway point, and the competitors settled into their positions as the race edged towards daylight.
With 14 hours out of the 24 hours now gone, the Rebellion Williams Esports held their lead in the #1 followed by #13 sister car.
Fellow LMP competitors ByKolles in the #4 car had esports star Esteban Guerrieri at the wheel and asserting consistent pace.
Unfortunately for the #4, Rebellion Williams Esports made it 1-2-3 when they faced an unplanned pitstop due to an unknown issue.
They still continued to challenge the Rebellion Williams cars at the front of the pack.
In GTE, #94 Porsche Esports crashed in sector 3 which led to them losing a wheel. Furthermore, there was no driver available to take over following its repairs, respective of stint times.
As a result, the #94 faced retirement, alongside the Toyota GAZOO Racing ARG #10 which had crashed and could not continue.
Team Redline’s only entry, their collaboration with the JOTA Sport Team in the #37, ran strong in P6 overall but crashed in sector 2. They fell down to P14 due to repairs, including a missing rear wing (aero) and damaged bodywork.
Robert Wickens of the #67 Mahle Racing car was caught up in a collision of the #14 car.
