Hill retained by MB Motorsport for 2021 BTCC season

Jake Hill will continue with the MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square team for the 2021 BTCC season, after a successful inaugural campaign this year.

The BRDC star’s achievements included qualifying inside the top-10 at every round so far, with three front-row starts, which has earned him the chance to continue his journey in the series.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be continuing with MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square for 2021.

“Together we’ve had a great year with some real success and I am in the best possible place to continue that progression.”

In his seven years of the BTCC, Hill has run his most successful campaign in 2020 to score five podium finishes for the team on top of their first independents’ victory at Snetterton.

He continued: “This season was only just the beginning, there are plenty more great things to come from us yet.

“As always, I have to send the biggest of thank you’s to my wonderful array of partners who make my continued success possible.”

Shaun Hollamby, Team Principal of MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square added:

His drive, determination and talent is clear to see and we’re thrilled that we get to continue to utilise his skills.

“Jake is a great character who lifts the morale of everyone in the team and then lifts it further by scoring some great results.

“By remaining with us, together we’ll enter 2021 with the stability and hunger to push ourselves even harder.”

Mark Blundell, Sporting Director of MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square described how he was “over the moon” to hear about Hill’s commitments with the team.

He complimented Hill’s driving ability amongst the current lineup on the grid and asserted his confidence on the success that the driver can bring in the future.
