In the final WEC qualifying session of the year, the #7 Toyota took pole position under the lights in Bahrain.
The LMP1 class was a duel between the #7 and #8 Toyota cars, and in the last qualifying for the category it was the #7 car that came out on top with a lap-time of 1m40.747s.
In LMP2, it was the #22 United Autosports car which set the fastest time in the category, with yet another impressive qualifying, setting a time of 1m47.440s, +0.798s ahead of the #37 Jackie Chan DC Racing car.
Signatech Alpine Elf’s #36 car lines in third, finishing ahead of the #38 JOTA, and the #29 Racing Team Nederland.
Cetilar Racing’s #47 car struggled to put in a good lap around the Bahrain circuit, rounding out qualifying with a lap-time of 1m51.834s, +4.394s behind the #22 United Autosports car.
In the LM-GTE Pro class, it was another pole position for Aston Martin, with the #95 car edging in front of the #92 Porsche GT Team car.
However, after what was believed to be a track limits violation, the #95 will start second and the #92 Porsche will lead the field of GTEs.
The #51 AF Corse starts in third place, finishing ahead of the #91 Porsche, the #97 AF Corse and the #97 Aston Martin.
It was an Aston Martin on top in the LM-GTE Am, with the #98 car setting a time of 1m58.356s, 0.452s ahead of the #90 TF Sport in second place.
Behind the top two, the #62 Red River Sport car finished in third place, ahead of the #56 and #57 Team Project 1 cars.
The #54 and #83 AF Corse cars start in sixth and seventh position for the race tomorrow, ahead of the #77 Dempsey-Proton Racing, who struggled after qualifying first in Spa.
The final two places on the grid are taken up by the #86 Gulf Racing and the #88 Dempsey-Proton Racing car.
Similar to qualifying in Belgium, track limits were noticeable in the GTE class, with six cars having their lap times deleted in the first ten minutes.
