Glynn Geddie is set to claim the second seat at Team HARD Racing for the length of the 2021 British Touring Car Championship season.
The 2011 British GT Champion will add to his previous experience with the team at the back end of the 2020 season driving the now retired Volkswagen CC.
Snetterton and Brands Hatch (Indy) hosted the last two final events of the 2020 BTCC season, which gave Geddie his first experience driving against teammate Goff.
His recently announced 2021 teammate is an experienced BTCC driver who first debuted with the team back in 2013 and was the winner of the 27th round of the 2019 campaign.
Geddie said: “Joining up with Tony [Gilham] and Team HARD Racing at the back end of the 2020 season was a great experience and it was nice to dip my toe back into some close, wheel-to-wheel racing after spending the last few seasons in the GT discipline.”
The team has switched from last season’s VW CC to the new SEAT Cupra Leon for 2021.
The Scotsman continued: “Moving onto this season, when Tony spoke to me about the team’s plans with the Cupra Leon it was impossible to not get excited and want to be involved.
“It’s a very exciting time to be in the BTCC with Team HARD Racing.”
Managing Director of Team HARD Racing, Tony Gilham, commented on how his performances at the tail end of last season are the reason they offered Geddie the drive.
Gilham is also optimistic on how Geddie will be a “brilliant asset” to the team in their efforts to move up the grid next season.
He has confidence in Geddie’s talent to also fight for the Jack Sears Trophy, a championship designed for drivers who are yet to stand on the overall podium in the series.
