Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has confirmed a roster of seven drivers and their attendance at the new WEC 2021 season opener in Portimao.

The Le Mans Hypercar squad are due to debut into the World Endurance Championship with two 007 LMH entries, the #708 and the #709.

Earlier last week, it was revealed that current IMSA DPi star Ryan Briscoe will be driving the #709 and Season 8 Rebellion Racing driver Gustavo Menezes will be in the #708.

Jim Glickenhaus, founder of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus said: “I’ve dreamed of racing Le Mans since I was 11 years old.

“We are proud of each driver who has joined our team.”

There are seven total drivers in Glickenhaus Racing’s lineup for 2021, although it is not publicly known which rounds they will compete in, and in which car (apart from Brisco and Menezes).

The five further names are Brazilian’s Pipo Derani, the trio of Frenchmen Romain Dumas (multiple Le Mans champion), Franck Mailleux, and Olivier Pla.

Richard Westbrook concludes the list, a Brit recently competed in Glickenhaus’ class-winning efforts at the Nurburgring 24 Hours (2020), along with a decade’s worth of experience in sportscars.

Glickenhaus continued: “We are an international David versus Goliath, and our history shows we punch well above our weight class.

“We are racing to win and we are enjoying the journey.”

The SCG 007 LMH entries will be powered by 3.5L twin-turbo Pipo Moteurs V8 engines, which are a combination of two inline four-cylinders.

Glickenhaus Racing also revealed their support from Joest Racing to join Podium Engineering’s focus on the Hypercar.

Joest have several decades of experience in the world of sportscar racing, thus will provide the practical resources for the team.

First on-track testing of the 007 LMH will enroll in March at Vallelunga, Italy.

They will attend the first round in April, the 8 Hours of Portimão, with two LMH entries to challenge Toyota and Alpine.
