Nico Jamin has joined the #32 United Autosports lineup in the European Le Mans Series and their Le Mans 24H outing later this June.
He raced in the ELMS’ LMP2 class since 2018, with two years at Duqueine Engineering and the 2020 season at Panis Racing.
Nico Jamin said: “I can’t express how thrilled I am to be joining United Autosports for the 2021 ELMS season as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”
He competed in the 2019 and 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours races, the most recent of which saw him third on the LMP2 podium.
Jamin also claimed the best average lap-time of the LMP2 field on Goodyear rubber.
He was joined by upcoming WEC Alpine driver Matthieu Vaxivière and Julien Canal for that race.
His 2021 Le Mans 24H team-mates in the #32 Oreca 07 will be announced soon, but he join Job van Uitert and Manuel Maldonado in their ELMS efforts.
“They (United Autosports) had such a tremendous 2020 campaign, winning pretty much everything that was there to grab,” having joined them on the 4H Spa-Francorchamps podium.
“To have the opportunity to join them and fight for a championship together is such a privilege.”
Richard Dean, Co-Owner of United Autosports (with Zak Brown) added:
“I have watched Nico for a while now as he has raced against us in the ELMS and Le Mans, so I am pleased he will now be part of our team.
“He has shown over the last few years in both ELMS and at the Le Mans 24 Hours that he has the speed to win races and championships, which is exactly our aim for 2021.”
