Jim Glickenhaus is ’emotional’ at Vallelunga with three of their cars set to go on-track for these two days – the 004C, 004S and 007 LMH.

The Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus automotive manufacturer and racing outfit has returned to Vallelunga for two days of testing (15-16th March).

It will be the third track test for one of the newer members of the Glickenhaus family, its 004C GT3 sibling, and its road-going 004S, joins the SCG 007 Le Mans Hypercar.

In a social media video, Jim Glickenhaus, Founder of SCG, said:

“Very emotional – we’re here at Vallelunga and we have our 004S, our 004C, and we have our 007 LMH. And they’re all our on the track, they’re all doing great.

“We’re learning a lot – we’re tinkering with aero and anti-lag on the 007, and with the 004(C) we’ve made a lot of changes to it.”

Their 004C debuted as the successor to the 003C GT3 car at the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring last year.

The SPX-Pro entry proved strong against its fellow GT3 cars by qualifying 28th amongst 30 SP9 cars (GT3).

During a rain-soaked ‘Green Hell’ event, which faced a seven-hour red flag suspension due to the flooding caused by heavy rain, the 004C made its way into 14 position by the end.

He continued: “Over the winter, we’ve moved the engine down an inch, two inches forwards, so we’re really gonna get a lot more aero on the front of the car which we think it will make it a lot faster at the Nurburgring.

“The 007 is just dialing in, doing great – Romain Dumas is driving it. Gustavo Menezes who will be driving it, joined by Ryan Briscoe and Richard Westbrook.

“And then we have Felipe Nasr and Thomas Mutsch from our 004(C) team – and it’s just an amazing emotional experience to be out here with our whole team, and all these cars, and it’s a beautiful sunny day…

“More than that you just do not get,” concluded Glickenhaus.
