With qualifying now moments way, Fabio Quartararo heads into the session as the top-man in FP4 of the Portuguese GP.
Just five minutes into the session, Marc Marquez had a big moment heading into Turn 1, but was able to keep the Honda upright.
Marquez’s teammate Pol Espargaro found himself in the gravel after a massive high-side into Turn 15, the Spaniard walked away, but looked to be in pain.
The final incident of the session came with just two minutes remaining, Luca Marini lost the front end of his bike at Turn 9.
Quartararo topped the first runs of FP4 with a 1m39.896s lap, and then went faster with a 1m39.788s time.
Miguel Oliveira looks strong heading into qualifying, the KTM finished in second, with championship leader Johann Zarco in third.
Maverick Vinales ended FP4 in fourth place, 0.036s ahead of Ducati’s Pecco Bagnaia in fifth.
Franco Morbidelli will hope to continue his FP4 pace into qualifying after finishing sixth ahead of Alex Marquez and Jack Miller.
Marc Marquez will contest Q1 in a few moments, the Spaniard ended the session in ninth, with Joan Mir and Brad Binder behind the Honda rider.
Alex Rins ended FP4 in 12th on his Suzuki, ahead of Honda’s Espargaro and his brother Aleix Espargaro.
Valentino Rossi continues to struggle in Portimao, the Italian finished in 15th ahead of Danilo Petrucci.
The two Esponsorama bikes of Luca Marini and Enea Bastianini ended the session in 17th and 18th.
Lorenzo Savadori and Iker Lecuona rounded off the leaderboard in 19th and 20th.
Taka Nakagami did not set a time and will miss qualifying after his big crash yesterday, as well as Jorge Martin who will sit out the rest of the weekend after a crash in FP3.
