Amongst an LMP2 domination, United Autosports topped the afternoon session on the first day of testing at the Season 9 Prologue.
The second session of the Season 9 FIA World Endurance Championship ended prematurely by 10-minutes because of the #31 Team WRT stopping in the pit-lane.
Only 20 minutes into the four-hour afternoon session, the #46 Team Project 1 found itself at the barriers before Bruxelles.
Alike the #33 and #777 GTE-Am cars that crashed in the morning session, the team spent the remainder of the day repairing the damaged Porsche 911 RSR.
It was a short 20-minute succession until the #28 JOTA of Sean Gelael rear-ended his Oreca 07 at the Raidillon barrier thus ending the session only with four laps completed.
LMP2s dominated the top of the timesheets as most were running extensive timed runs with race fuel capacities on-board.
The #7 Toyota only ran an extra four laps towards the final minutes of the session after spending most of the day in the garage and effectively losing much needed track time for Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez.
The #22 United Autosport made it both sessions of the day to finish at the top of the timesheets with a 2m04.822s after accumulating 78 laps of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
The quickest out of the three Le Mans Hypercars was the #36 Alpine Elf Matmut with a time of 2m05.230s and 71 laps completed, far from unleashing their utmost potential pace.
The #92 Porsche GT Team topped the GTE pack again with a time 2m14.304s and 82 laps completed during the course of the session.
In GTE-Am, it was the #83 AF Corse who was fastest in the category with a 2m15.576s and 68 laps completed in the team’s first GTE-Am outing.
