Marc Marquez topped a wet FP3 session of the French GP, with the damp conditions not set to improve ahead of qualifying later on.
After the rain fell once again overnight, the Le Mans track was left covered in water ahead of the third practice session.
A number of riders traded places at the top of the timesheets throughout the session, with the likes of Alex Rins, Danilo Petrucci and Miguel Oliveira briefly finding themselves fastest.
Marquez set his fastest lap of a 1m40.736s in the final ten minutes to go top and head FP3’s leaderboard.
Lorenzo Savadori continues to look good in the damp Le Mans conditions, the Aprilia rider ended the session in second, 0.613s behind Marquez.
Pecco Bagnaia set a time good enough for third in FP3, but will have to go through Q1 later after not breaking into the top-ten fastest times during the dry FP2 yesterday.
Oliveira put his KTM in fourth, ahead of Pol Espargaro and Johann Zarco.
Suzuki ended the session in seventh and eighth, Joan Mir finished ahead of his teammate Rins.
Iker Lecuona and Luca Marini rounded off the top-ten finishers.
LCR Honda finished FP3 with Alex Marquez in 11th ahead of his teammate Taka Nakagami, Aleix Espargaro ended up in 13th.
After topping the times at the beginning of FP3, Petrucci ended the session in 14th for Tech3, ahead of Tito Rabat and Maverick Vinales.
Franco Morbidelli put his SRT Yamaha in 17th, with Enea Bastianini in 18th and Fabio Quartararo down in 19th, not a good session for the two Yamaha’s.
Jack Miller ended FP3 of the French GP in 20th, ahead of Valentino Rossi and Brad Binder.
