Friday running of the Catalan GP has come to a close and Pramac’s Johann Zarco ends the day on top of the leaderboard in FP2.
Every rider headed out on track as soon as the green flag was waved to put in laps in front of fans who are in the grandstands for this weekend’s race.
It wasn’t long before the first incident of the session came as Luca Marini was down in the gravel at Turn 4.
Miguel Oliveira also had a moment at Turn 10 around a third of the way into FP2, the KTM rider ran through the gravel after missing his braking point.
Zarco’s 1m39.235s time put him on top at the end of the session ahead of Franco Morbidelli who continues to look strong on his two-year-old Yamaha around Catalunya.
Brad Binder ended off a good session in fourth, Pecco Bagnaia and Maverick Vinales were behind the South African in fifth and sixth.
Jack Miller put his Ducati in seventh ahead of Enea Bastianini who had an impressed in FP2 to finish eighth.
The two Espargaro brother’s of Aleix and Pol finished the session ninth and tenth.
Taka Nakagami finished 11th just as he did in FP1 earlier today, Danilo Petrucci and Marini were 12th and 13th.
After his brief off-track excursion earlier in the session, Oliveira ended up in 14th ahead of Marc Marquez and Joan Mir.
Iker Lecuona put his Tech3 KTM in 17th, with Alex Marquez and Valentino Rossi behind the Spaniard.
Lorenzo Savadori and Jorge Martin rounded off the timesheets in 20th and 21st.
