Catalan GP: Quartararo tops final practice session

Fabio Quartararo has ended on top of the leaderboard in FP4 of the Catalunya GP, and looks like the man to beat going into qualifying.

The Frenchman had a dominant session, topping the first runs with a 1m39.681s lap time and going on to better that with a 1m39.602s towards the end.

Maverick Vinales ended the session in second to round off a Yamaha 1-2, with Miguel Oliveira and Johann Zarco in third and fourth.

The sole Suzuki of Joan Mir finished in fifth, 0.045s faster than Marc Marquez in sixth, and Valentino Rossi put a 1m40.437s lap to end seventh.

Pol Espargaro, Jack Miller and Taka Nakagami rounded out the top-10.

Pecco Bagnaia put his Ducati in 11th ahead of Danilo Petrucci’s Tech3 KTM, Franco Morbidelli ended up in 13th.

Aleix Espargaro had an off at Turn 1 seven minutes into the session and finished 14th ahead of Iker Lecuona who also had an off at Turn 5.

Brad Binder finished FP4 of the Catalan GP in 16th with Enea Bastianini behind the South African.

Jorge Martin crashed at Turn 13 with seven minutes remaining and finished FP4 in 18th ahead of Luca Marini.

Alex Marquez and Lorenzo Savadori rounded off the leaderboard in 20th and 21st.
