In the final session ahead of today’s Catalan GP, it’s Taka Nakagami who has put his LCR Honda on top of the timesheets.
With the potential threat of rain lingering over Barcelona for the race later on, a number of riders were practicing a bike swap from their dry to wet bikes in the pits.
Just like last week’s warm-up in Mugello, Nakagami was fastest, setting a 1m39.783s lap to head off the leaderboard.
Maverick Vinales finished in second, although the Spaniard had a crash with just one minute left at Turn 7, Franco Morbidelli ended in third and continues to look good this weekend.
Johann Zarco put his Pramac in fourth to finish ahead of pole-sitter Fabio Quartararo and Pol Espargaro.
Pecco Bagnaia finished as the top factory Ducati in seventh, with Marc Marquez, Joan Mir and Valentino Rossi rounding out the top-ten.
Danilo Petrucci put a lap good enough for 11th on his Tech3 KTM as Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin finished warm-up 12th and 13th.
Jack Miller ended warm-up for the Catalan GP in 14th ahead of the trio of KTM bikes of Miguel Oliveira, Iker Lecuona and Brad Binder.
Alex Marquez put his LCR Honda in 18th to finish ahead of Luca Marini on the leaderboard.
The Aprilia duo of Aleix Espargaro and Lorenzo Savadori finished 20th and 21st.
