Fabio Quartararo has halted Maverick Vinales’ dominant form in Assen this weekend, topping FP4 ahead of qualifying.
The only incident of the session came ten minutes in, as Lorenzo Savadori found himself in the gravel at Turn 11.
Quartararo’s 1m32.513s lap was enough to go fastest ahead of Vinales and Miguel Oliveira.
Aleix Espargaro ended FP4 in fourth and Joan Mir put his Suzuki in fifth, with Taka Nakagami and Alex Rins behind.
Marc Marquez finished ninth ahead of teammate Pol Espargaro, Johann Zarco finished as the fastest Ducati-powered bike in tenth.
Pecco Bagnaia finished 11th, with compatriot Valentino Rossi in 12th and LCR Honda’s Alex Marquez 13th.
Jorge Martin put his Pramac in 14th, with Iker Lecuona in 15th ahead of teammate Danilo Petrucci.
Jack Miller ended the final practice session of the Assen GP in 17th spot. Enea Bastianini and Brad Binder finished 18th and 19th.
Savadori finished 20th, with Luca Marini 21st and Garrett Gerloff 22nd to round off the grid.
