Maverick Vinales has ended on top of the leaderboard once more this weekend, topping warm-up with the Dutch GP just a few hours away.

With rumours circulating around the paddock that Vinales will terminate his Yamaha contract a year early and make a shock move to Aprilia, it has not hindered his pace one bit in Assen.

A 1m32.569s lap from the Spaniard put him on top of the warm-up session to finish ahead of teammate Fabio Quartararo, the two Yamaha’s look like the outright favourites for the race.

Alex Rins put his Suzuki in third ahead of Taka Nakagami and Marc Marquez; Johann Zarco ended sixth.

Pol Espargaro finished the warm-up session in seventh ahead of Iker Lecuona who had a solid morning run in eighth ahead of Pecco Bagnaia.

The second Tech3 KTM of Danilo Petrucci rounded out the top-ten, with Valentino Rossi 11th.

Joan Mir put a time in that was good enough for 12th, with Jack Miller and Brad Binder ending 13th and 14th.

Alex Marquez finished warm-up of the Dutch GP in 15th ahead of Aleix Espargaro and KTM’s Miguel Oliveira.

Garrett Gerloff had an impressive session to finish 18th, ahead of Lorenzo Savadori and Luca Marini who round out the top-20.

Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin finished 21st and 22nd on the leaderboard.
