The British Touring Car Championship has announced the provisional schedule of the 2022 calendar, beginning on 23/24 April at Donington Park.
In the first year of the Hybrid era, the BTCC plans to host three official pre-season test days in order to give teams a chance to prepare for the 30-round schedule.
Chief Executive Allan Gow has explained how this early announcement can “allow the rest of British motorsport to plan their respective calendars”.
The season is set to open at Donington Park in late April, then moving to Brands Hatch Indy in May.
Later that month, the championship will attend the 2021 opener venue, Thruxton.
Into the summer months, the calendar finds itself at Oulton Park and Croft. Almost a month later, the BTCC circus heads to Knockhill for the only Scottish venue on the schedule.
Snetterton and a return to Thruxton will leave two final venues for late September and early October, with Silverstone National preceding the traditional finale at Brands Hatch GP.
