Glickenhaus Racing has confirmed their efforts into the 2022 WEC season schedule which will be their second year in the championship.
The American automotive manufacturer has confirmed they will begin a second season into the FIA World Endurance Championship.
At their Le Mans debut, both of their SCG 007 LMHs finished fourth or fifth in the overall classification.
They made their announcement on their Twitter and Instagram social media platforms:
“We are pleased to announce that we will be joining the 2022 WEC season starting in (the Prologue and 1000 Miles of) Sebring.
“We look forward to many years of racing together.”
They confirm one Hypercar for the opening round at Sebring and at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and two at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
For the remaining three races which follow, it is “to be determined” about the number of cars however they will continue to race after Le Mans.
Founder of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, Jim Glickenhaus, believes he will get fair Balance of Performance (BoP) measures against his competitors.
Reigning champions Toyota GAZOO Racing will take part with a double-car line-up joined by Glickenhaus Racing, Alpine Elf Matmut with their A480 Gibson, Peugeot as WEC debutants and ByKolles Racing respectively.
As the Le Mans Daytona Hypercar package will be debuting in 2023, all of the Hypercar entries until then will be Le Mans Hypercars.
