The #5 car currently leads an extremely close and intense Daytona 24 with just two hours remaining in the race.
It was another quiet period on track in the 20th and 21st hours of the race, with the drivers continuing to stick to their strict strategies as the race begins to enter the crucial sprint phase.
The final two hours of the Daytona 24 will be important for the drivers, as any mistake now will put a halt to any chance at a strong result or a podium.
The #26 was forced to head into the pits with an issue after stopping on track at Turn 3, the car was able to get back to the pits without the need for a Full Course Yellow.
There was a close battle for third in the DPi class between the #60 and #10 cars, with the #10 coming out on top in that particular battle.
Loic Duval took the overall lead of the race in the #5 car after the #31 spent a large amount of time running at the front.
The battle in the GTD-Pro class began to heat up once again with just over 2h30m remaining. The #9 was closing in on the #2 KCMG with the gap lingering around the 0.5s mark.
The DPi lead neutralised during this two hour period of the race with the #5 leading by 18s, with the other three lead cars separated by less than 2s.
But the battle for second quickly escalated as the #10 and #31 cars battled closely for a number of laps.
With 2h20m on the clock the #31 and #60 were fighting tooth and nail for third place, going wheel to wheel and giving each other no room for error.
The #60 of Filipe Albuquerque then pulled off an incredible move around the outside of Mike Conway in the #31, showing the gloves are well and truly off as we head into the final two hours of the Daytona 24.
With two hours to go it’s the #5 car leading the DPi class with the #81 in front of the LMP2 field.
The #74 Riley Motorsports is leading the LMP3 class, while the #62 is at the front of the GTD-Pro category.
The #16 continues to lead the GTD class.
