Ex-Formula 1 World Champion Keke Rosberg’s DTM team, Team Rosberg, has retained Dev Gore and two-time runner-up Nico Mueller for 2022.
The outgoing teammates will partner with each other once again in the second year of DTM’s GT3-Plus era.
With 136 races and 10 victories to his name in eight seasons, Mueller will be looking to add to the tally this year in the updated Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo 2.
Most notably, the Audi works driver finished second in the 2019 and 2020 Drivers’ Standings behind returnee Rene Rast.
During the 2021 campaign, he finished 10th in the standings after scoring 56 points with a podium finish at the second round, Monza.
He said: “Team Rosberg and I have started a new chapter in 2021 and that isn’t finished yet. Everyone is eager and motivated, which was clear to notice during the winter.
“DTM is a hard-fought series with strong drivers in which we want to compete for podium results and wins on a regular basis and want to be in contention for the title, too.”
Gore, now in his second year in DTM, will set about matching his teammate’s performances in the team’s pursuit to fight for the Drivers’ and Teams’ titles.
The 24-year-old from Oklahoma City is firing on all cylinders for the start of the 2022 DTM season.
Gore added: “I am feeling very well at Team Rosberg, the team has supported me a great deal in my DTM rookie season.
“Surely, the second season will be a bit easier as I know the team, the car, the tracks and also the entire DTM environment.
“It is my goal to get closer to the front.”
The 2022 season is set to begin at Portimao from 29 April to 1 May.
