The #9 Prema Orlen Team Oreca 07 LMP2 was fastest in the second session of the WEC Prologue at the Sebring International Raceway.
Following the stormy conditions which ended the first session early, the circuit dried up for an afternoon session to close of the first day of pre-season testing.
It was another drama-free session with teams continuing to put the miles at Sebring’s demanding bumps under one week before the 1000 Miles of Sebring opener.
The endurance prototypes and the GTEs were close within their respective car types.
During the closing hour, it was reigning European Le Mans Series LMP2 champion Robert Kubica who set the fastest lap-time for Prema Orlen Team.
His 1m49.084s was one of 68 laps completed by the #9 crew, with a personal best top speed of 272.88 km/h, situating them behind both United Autosports cars on that topic.
In second overall was the quickest Hypercar in this session, the #36 Alpine Elf Team who completed 71 laps in total.
Their time of 1m49.210s was just under two-tenths quicker than their nearest class rivals, Glickenhaus Racing.
The #83 AF Corse turned in their opening laps for the day with 67 compared against 2 completed this morning, finishing P4 overall.
Like this morning, it was a Porsche 1-2 in GTE-Pro with the #92 fastest of the field thanks to a time of 1m56.494s and 55 laps under their belt.
The #60 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo of Iron Lynx topped GTE-Am with a 1m58.227s.
Pre-season testing continues tomorrow with a morning and afternoon session and will be a crucial chance for teams to rack up the mileage before race week.
